STACKING TOLERANCES TOOL

The first online tool for tolerance stackup analysis

Welcome to Stacking Tolerances, the first tool that will allow you to run online statistical analysis of your designs. This tool pretends to make it easier for Mechanical Engineers to do one dimensional Tolerance Stack-up Analysis. So, forget about the pain of setting up a new spreadsheet for every analysis, and dedicate more time to the important matters by using the Stacking Tolerances® tool.

Be advised that what you can see now is just the MVP, and more features and functoinalities are yet to come.

1. Input data for the tolerance analysis

How to input the data for the tolerance stack-up analysis?

In the table below, each column corresponds to a different dimension in the stack. For each dimenison, you need to provide its...

  1. Name: a name that helps you identify the dimension later on
  2. Statistical distribution: you can choose normal distribution with 4-sigma and 6-sigma, or, uniform
  3. Nominal: the value for the dimension
  4. Tolerance range: it is specified in the TOL+ and TOL- fields
  5. Sign: it sets the direction of the dimension (only accepts +1 or -1)

You can add or remove columns as you may need. And when you are ready, scroll down and press the simulate button.
